Silver Lake Campground is located in the Easter Sierras, near the Town of June
Lake, at an elevation of 7,200 feet. This campground is situated off US 395, 350
miles north of Los Angeles and 150 miles south of Reno. Campsites are located in
a mostly open area near the shoreline of beautiful Silver Lake. The mountain views
and fishing at this campground make this a favorite place to visit for families and
anglers alike.
CAMPING:
The campground is open from late April until late October; please call information
for the actual opening and closing dates of the campground. The maximum stay is
14 days at all sites. Reservations must
be made at least 4 days in advance, with a 2 night minimum stay over the weekends.
The campground also offers sites for first come, first serve campers. There are
63 family campsites complete with a picnic table and fire ring. All sites have bear-proof
lockers for food protection.

SERVICES & FACILITIES:
Flush toilets and potable water are available. Firewood is available for sale (ask your camp host). A
boat launch, grocery store, gas, propane and a restaurant are located approximately 3 miles away.
THINGS TO DO:
Fishing is available on Silver Lake, Rush Creek, and other nearby lakes and streams.
Backcountry hiking trails, mountain biking, horseback rental and riding trails are
also close to the campground. Gift shops are also located in the Town of June Lake
approximately 3 miles away. An amphitheater with nature interpretive programs in
the form of nature walks, kid programs, and campfire programs are provided weekly.
DIRECTIONS:
Take US-395 to State Highway 158. Take SH-158 through the Town of June Lake about
7 miles to Silver Lake Campground on the right.
