level sites with plenty of shade. Fishing opportunities are available. Drinking water is not available at the campground.
LOCAL ATTRACTIONS
Chimney Rock Archaeological Area is nearby. To visit Chimney Rock, head four miles south on Colorado Highway 151 to the entrance road for the Visitor Center on your right. Guided tours are offered in summer by the nonprofit Chimney Rock Interpretive Association. The lower tour is easy to negotiate as it follows a barrier-free interpretive trail to Ancestral Puebloan sites. The mountaintop part of the tour heads steeply uphill to a Chacoan-style Great House site. Tours are offered from May 15 - Sept. 30. Call 970-883-5359.
