Beautiful Lake Elsinore is located 2 miles off the 15 freeway off of the Main Street exit in the Riverside County.  Lake Elsinore is the centerpiece of the City and as Southern California’s largest natural lake everyone is sure to have a good time.  The lake is 2.5 miles long and 1.5 miles wide, providing a 3,500 acre lake, with 10 miles of shoreline.

SERVICES/ FACILITY:
Lake Elsinore Recreation area is starting a 3 year renovation project.  The project will add a marina that will provide monthly wet slips, monthly dry storage spaces, overnight wet slip rentals, two fish cleaning stations, a bait shop to provide live bait and tackle gear, and a 6 lane boat launching ramp.  In addition, we will be adding over 200 camping spaces that will provide electricity, water, sewer hookups, and telephone and internet connections on every site.  There will also be around 100 spaces for those who wish to be a monthly resident at Lake Elsinore Recreation Area.  Other amenities will include a swimming pool and spa, tennis courts, a business/conference room complete with computers, a fitness center, and a recreation room with a pool table and arcade games. 

While this facility is under construction the park will remain OPEN.

The Seaport Boat Launch provides the Elsinore Lake Pass for your convenience along with a few boating items such as flags, water toys and shoes, tow ropes, and personal flotation devices (life vests).  There is no California Department of Fish & Game fishing licenses sold at the Seaport Boat Launch.  The Seaport offers 4 lanes for your use.

Along the 700 block of Lakeshore Drive, you will find 3 designated fishing areas, a beach area for wading, restrooms, volleyball and picnic areas, shaded structures, and barbeques for your use.

FISHING:
The fishing at Lake Elsinore is amazing; the Lake offers Carp, Largemouth Bass, Catfish, White and Black Crappie, Bluegill and a variety of pan fish. There is NO trout available at Lake Elsinore.  You can call the Seaport Boat Launch for the most recent fish report. 

Anglers 16 years of age or older must purchase a California Department of Fish & Game fishing license and all regulations are strictly enforced.  For all fishing regulations, visit the California Department of Fish & Game. The limit for all species is five fish per person per day.

While fishing is not offered directly from our campground, at the moment, you may fish at other locations around the lake at the designated fishing areas. There are 3 designated fishing areas along Lakeshore Drive. 

Fishing from the City launch ramps and docks is prohibited and cleaning fish on the waters shoreline is prohibited, except in designated areas.

CAMPING:
There are currently 120 RV or tent sites which have electric and water hookups.  There are 10 RV only sites with electric, water, and sewer hookups.  There are 51 tent sites with water available.  Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance.  To make reservations please call (800) 416-6992 or click here for more information .

JET SKI RENTALS:
From May thru September Sea-Doo rentals will be available near the Seaport Boat Launch facility hosted by Six Day Watercraft Rentals.  For more information on their rates and hours of operation you may call (951) 660-0703 or (951) 660-0705.

LAKE RULES :

  • The Lake hours are sunrise to sunset. 
  • All watercrafts must travel in a counter-clockwise direction outside the slow/no wake zone. 
  • Maximum speed limit is 35 MPH in the High Speed Zone on holidays and weekends between Memorial Day thru Labor Day. 
  • There is no speed limit in the High Speed Zone during all other days.
  • No anchoring is permitted outside the No Wake Zone.
  • Boaters shall keep a valid Lake use Pass on the vessel at all times.
  • No swimming is permitted from public beaches. 
  • Wading waist deep is allowed only in designated areas.
  • No diving on watercrafts or other objects; Please be aware of shallow waters.
  • No Alcohol is allowed on the beaches.
  • Littering is not tolerated; please place trash in appropriate receptacles.

Each watercraft will need to purchase a Lake Use Pass; you will find the rates below.  All passes are nontransferable or refundable, and valid only on Lake Elsinore.  You may purchase an annual lake pass from the City of Lake Elsinore, Monday through Thursday during normal business hours of 8am to 5pm and on Fridays between 8am to 4pm, at: City of Lake Elsinore, 130 S.
