In California
Hiking is available at many locations in the Los Padres National Forest near Santa Barbara. Arroyo Seco campground offers beautiful scenery and hiking areas along the Gorge. Wheeler Gorge has a nature trail which begins at the upper campground.
In Colorado
We recommend the following campgrounds for "color watchers":
O'Haver Lake, Cascade, Iron City, Whitestar,South Meadows, Kenosha Pass. Excellent
hiking trails can be found near all of these spectacular
campgrounds.
